PEST CONTROL LICENSE
The Structural Pest Control Act requires licensing of businesses and individuals that perform structural pest control. In order to become a pest control technician or supervisor, you must pass certification exams in your state. Many states require a certain amount of classroom training and the completion of an apprenticeship before you will be eligible to take the exam.
IRRIGATION LICENSE
To become a Licensed Irrigator, you must complete the Basic Irrigator training course, submit an application with the appropriate fee, a copy of a certificate showing completion of an approved basic training course, and pass each section of the Irrigator exam (installation, backflow, hydraulics, and design). An approved application is valid for one year for the initial exam and/or three retests, whichever occurs first. If you don’t pass every section the first time you will have multiple opportunities to pass the exam. Any section you do not pass will have to be retaken, but any section you pass will not have to be retaken at your retest. Once you have passed every section, you will be awarded your license number.
